Tees Valley Treatment Centre celebrates its 5th
anniversary
The Tees Valley Treatment Centre, based at the One Life
building, on Middlesbrough’s Linthorpe Road, scored an impressive
96.7% in its latest patient survey. The treatment centre, owned by
global provider Ramsay Health Care, ce;lebrated its fifth
anniversary in June and has a growing database of 15,000 patients a
year, offering outpatient services for the diagnosis and treatment
of conditions and daycase surgery for subsequent treatment. “We
have built up a very credible position in the healthcare market in
the last five years and are now an established choice option for
NHS patients in the Middlesbrough and surrounding area,” says Donna
Thornton, General Manager of Tees Valley Treatment Centre. “Aside
from offering consultant led services and short wait times, we find
that many patients prefer the option of daycase surgery and being a
smaller unit we can offer a more personalised service.” “The
treatment centre has been more successful and popular than we ever
anticipated - and long may we go on pleasing our patients and
delivering high quality clinical care.
One Life hosts a range of health care services and the arrival
of the Tees Valley Treatment Centre in 2007 brought a range of
secondary care services to the table - providing a one-stop shop
for many patient needs. Stephen Doyle, managing partner at Park
Surgery located within One Life, said: “Providers like Ramsay
Health Care offer secondary care that’s more personal and more
easily accessible, with shorter wait times. “Patients like the fact
that services are being brought into the community, away from a
hospital setting.”
