Declaration of compliance

Tees Valley Treatment Centre is pleased to confirm that we are compliant with the Government’s requirement to eliminate mixed-sex accommodation, except when it is in the patient’s overall best interest, or reflects their personal choice.  We have the necessary facilities, resources and culture to ensure that patients who are admitted to our day case unit do not share accommodation or toilet facilities with members of the same sex. Sharing with members of the opposite sex will only happen when clinically necessary (for example where patients need specialist equipment such as stage 1 recovery, or when patients actively choose to share)

If our care should fall short of the required standard, we will report it.  We will also set up an audit mechanism to make sure that we do not misclassify any of our reports.  Such audit will be undertaken on a monthly basis and we will publish the results of any such audit on our website.

MRSA screening policy compliance

Tees Valley Treatment Centre updated and approved MRSA policy in March 2009 to include the national requirement to screen elective admissions. This policy was implemented with immediate effect. Compliance with the standards are fully met and 100% of elective patients will be screened by end of March 2009.

Patient Satisfaction

At Tees Valley we pride ourselves on our patient-focused approach, short wait times and quality of care - all facts supported by patient feedback and the results of patient surveys.

The last NHS Patient Satisfaction survery reported that 100% of patients rated their expereince at Tees Valley as either very good or excellent.
